The Rookie’s Guide to Real Estate

This handbook is designed to help you, a rookie in the real estate industry, navigate your practical training within your workplace.

You will be equipped with the basic knowledge to kickstart your real estate career when you have completed this handbook.

The handbook will be beneficial to you if:

• You are a new entrant into the Real Estate Industry without prior qualifications.
• You are a new entrant into the Real Estate Industry with prior qualifications.
• You are an existing property practitioner who wishes to refresh your knowledge on real estate basics.
• You are a mentor / principal assigned to a candidate who is required to complete practical training.

We use the terms ‘6 Practical Modules’, ‘Workplace Experience’, ‘Modules’ and ‘Practical training interchangeably in this handbook, as the content herein complies with the curriculum requirements for the NQF4 Occupational Certificate Workplace experience modules as well as the 6 Practical Modules as per the PPA regulations.
